Goals

By using Lang-8, I hope to improve the flow of my writing in Japanese. Currently it's a little stop-and-start-y. I think part of this stems from me thinking in English. I need to start thinking of my sentences in Japanese, instead of writing them in my head in English and then translating them. I think that's one of the main reasons my writing can be so jumpy. In general, getting my writing edited by someone other than my mom is a unique opportunity, and one that I look forward to. I'm unfamiliar with the program, so I'm not 100% sure on what my goals are because I'm not sure of what it can do yet. However, I do think Lang-8 can really help me improve my writing in the long run.

自己紹介

　はじめまして。僕はノアムです。大学一年生です。ニューヨークしからプリンストン大学来ました。先行がまだ分かりませんが、生物学はとてもおもしろいと思います。
　母は東京で生まれましたが、日本語を僕に教えませんでした。子供の時、新しいゲームを早く使いたかったので、日本語を習いたかったです。でも、今違うりゆうに日本語を習いたいです。十歳の時、祖父は亡くなりました。家族といっしょに日本に行きました。悲しかったですが、とてもおもしろいけいけんでした。アメリカで僕がいつも話していたのに、日本でほかの人に全然話せませんでした。祖母は英語が少ししか分からないので、話し合えませんでした。祖母と話したいので、日本語を習いたいです。中学三年生の時に日本語を勉強し始めて、まだ勉強しています。まだあまり上手じゃないですが、一生懸命がんばっています。
　クラスにいない時、たぶんデナンジオプールでとびこみ(diving)をしています。五歳の時からとびこみをしています。とても楽しいです。むずかひいですが、卒業するまでに、NCAAに行きたいです。
　いっしょにクラスを取るのを楽しみにしています。よろしくおねがいします。
